Professional bad boy. Amateur sweetheart. Naughtiest angel of all time.
Arie (air-ee — rhymes with Sorry!) is a Goldendoodle living his very best life in Orange County, California. His mom was an English Golden Retriever. His dad was a Mini Poodle. He inherited the drama from both sides, doubled it, and added choreography.
He has never followed a single rule in his life and has absolutely zero regrets about it. He rings the doorbell to demand outdoor time, has strong opinions about birds, and always — always — knows exactly when you're on your most important Zoom call.
With 10M+ views across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook, Arie has somehow built a massive audience just by being himself: chaotic, velcro-attached, endlessly enthusiastic, and constitutionally incapable of playing it cool.
Hi, I'm Cat — and yes, I'm a dog person who goes by Cat. Arie thinks this is hilarious.
I got Arie in the fall of 2022, completely unprepared for what a Goldendoodle actually entails. I had done research. I had read the books. I had asked other doodle owners. None of this prepared me. Arie arrived like a small, fluffy hurricane and has been reshaping my life around his schedule ever since.
We're based in Orange County, California — which turns out to be one of the best places on earth to have a high-energy, beach-obsessed, adventure-ready dog. The weather is almost always perfect. The people are mostly very tolerant of a 60-pound Goldendoodle trying to make friends with all of them simultaneously.
I started posting videos of Arie mostly because I couldn't stop laughing at him and wanted my friends to laugh too. What I didn't expect was that strangers would feel the same way — that the very specific chaos of having a Goldendoodle would resonate so widely. The internet confirmed: we are all living the same unhinged life, just with slightly different dogs.
The blog started as a place to document our adventures and be honest about what Goldendoodle ownership actually looks like versus what the Instagram version looks like. They are very different. I try to write the truth: the grooming costs, the zoomies, the sand, the love. All of it.
We post regularly on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook — all @ariepup. TikTok is where the chaos lives most naturally. Instagram has the good photos. YouTube has the longer stories. Facebook is there for the people who are on Facebook.
